Artemis 1 Launch To the Moon
NASA's new Moon rocket Artemis 1 launched with three dummies aboard early Wednesday, bringing the US one step closer to reintroducing astronauts to the lunar surface for the first time in fifty years. If everything goes well during the three week trip, the rocket will launch an empty crew capsule into a wide orbit around the Moon before splashing down in the Pacific in December.
With the Artemis 1 Mission, NASA is the first organization to ever successfully launch a manned flight to the Moon. The purpose of this mission is not just to land on the moon and walk around, but to conduct research and build infrastructure in preparation for later missions. To learn more about how this amazing mission is being carried out. The Artemis 1 launch was a success and will last 25 days.
